CHANGCHUN, China - Toyota's joint venture in China is recalling approximately 10,892 vehicles in China due to a potential suspension defect that could impact driving stability.
The recall includes:
10,799 RAV4 SUV (model in the year 2025) manufactured between February 11 and April 11, 2025.
93 Harrier SUV (sold as the Localized "Lingfang" in China) produced from February 11 to March 27, 2025.
Safety Risk:
The automaker says a production error may have caused rear suspension bolts to be improperly tightened. If the bolts loosen or detach over time, it could lead to loss of wheel alignment or, in extreme cases, cause the coil spring to dislodge, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy:
Dealers will inspect and retighten the bolts to the correct specifications and perform a realignment at no cost to owners. Toyota will notify affected customers by mail with instructions for scheduling repairs.
