Bolt Installation Notes
Use the Right Tools: Always use the right tools when installing custom bolts. This ensures that it is itself snug-fitting on the bolt and causes no damage to the bolt as well as the material.
Follow Manufacturers Instructions: Installation recommendations provided shall be taken and followed manufacturer recommendations including torque and pre-treatment specifications.
Parts Alignment: All parts shall be aligned. When the bolts are tightened, misalignment causes excessive stress on the components, leading to damage.
Clean the Threads: Ensure that the threads on the bolt and inside the receiving hole are clean and clear of any debris when installing the same. This is for correct fit-up and safe hold.
Apply Lubrication: Apply the recommended type of lubrication on the threads. It reduces friction, avoids galling, and gives the bolt proper torque.
