Today, the world's first "AI full-process fastener intelligent production line" was officially put into production in Jiaxing, Zhejiang, marking the entry of China's hardware fastener manufacturing industry into a new era of intelligence. The production line was developed and built by Zhejiang's leading fastener companies and the Institute of Automation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences over a three-year period, with a total investment of 1.5 billion yuan.
The production line adopts a revolutionary "quantum visual inspection system" and achieves a new industry record of controlling the product defect rate to one in a million through photon-level imaging technology and deep learning algorithms. The reporter saw at the scene that the 27 processes from raw material storage to finished product packaging were completely completed by intelligent robots, and there were only 3 engineers in the 5,000-square-meter factory to monitor the system.
It is reported that the first batch of products from this production line will be used for the domestic C929 large aircraft and SpaceX's commercial aerospace projects. The second phase of the project is expected to be completed in 2026, when the annual output value can reach 5 billion yuan. The local government said it will take this opportunity to build a "Global Fastener Intelligent Manufacturing Innovation Center" to further consolidate China's technological leadership in this field.
